We are delighted to welcome Rhi to the team this month. Rhi will be our resident blogger, capturing stories of the Museum behind-the-scenes, and also writing articles on untold stories from our collection.
“My name is Rhi and I am currently studying Classical Studies at Royal Holloway. I come from Liverpool, which is an amazing city with so many historical buildings, and have lived there since I was four until I moved away for university. I have a major interest in history, but I have a special fondness for the ancient world.
I think my interest in history stemmed from my Grandad, a history professor who used to lend me book after book as a child. I truly believe he really piqued my interest in wanting to find out every detail of the past. I have also discovered over the years that I love finding out about individual people and their lives, as it then truly feels as though the times have moved on tremendously, but people haven’t really changed at all.”
Keep an eye out for future blogs from Rhi as she discovers more about Egham Museum, its people, collections and stories…
