Things are moving quickly here on the Suffrage in Egham project! As well as our Crafty Days coming up (see our Facebook event for more information), we are filling our Autumn events calendar and have been busy recruiting!

Our two Research Interns, Lauren and Bryony have started work and are already finding some great stories. From rifling through rate books and finding one of the founding members of the local NUWSS (National Union of Women’s Suffrage Societies) to navigating the newspapers from 1913 and discovering stories of women walking from Edinburgh to Egham. Stay tuned for more information as they find out more.

We also have the wonderful Kim working on all things marketing so make sure you’re following our Instagram, Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date with everything going on here at Egham Museum.

In the meantime we are pleased to announce that we now have a newsletter which will provide you with monthly updates on how the Suffrage in Egham Project is coming along. Sign up here!
