Egham Royal Show

The Egham Royal Show is a show which is annually held in the August bank holiday weekend. It is organised by Egham and Thorpe Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Association, offering the locals a chance to demonstrate their horticultural and agricultural skills since 1857, meaning it has been running for 165 years. The main goal is to encourage local farmers and labourers in their work. As a result, there are competitions held for horticulture, livestock, vintage and classic vehicles, dog shows, scurry driving, and models of trains, Ferris wheels, boats, yachts, etc.
Egham and Thorpe Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Association
The association has had the aim to provide human resources, buildings, facilities and open space since 1857, offering services for amateur sport. Through the charitable event, they intend to encourage industrious labourers and farm servants, shepherds and herdsmen, as well as for agriculture and stock breeding. Since the 1950s, His Royal Highness Prince Philip, the Dule of Edinburgh KG KT has been the Patron of the Association.
