Magna Carta Learning Resources

The resources on this page, devised in consultation with local teachers and developed by student volunteers, are designed to provide engaging ways for pupils to explore the history and significance of Magna Carta. Rather than forming formal lesson plans the resources are designed to act as classroom activity or debate starters, leaving teachers free to adapt the resources and use them in a variety of ways.

Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund as part of the Magna Carta in Egham project, a partnership between Egham Museum and Egham-by-Runnymede Historical Society, and supported by Heathrow Airport Ltd.

Class Challenges

These challenges, designed for infant and primary schools, are collaborative activities for the whole class that could form a unit of work spread over several lessons. Each activity has an output that can then be displayed in the classroom or school reception!
