Work Experience and Placements

We are delighted to support students at local schools, colleges and universities with work experience and placements.

My favourite part of this work experience was when we refreshed the displays, and I was able to change what was on display. I chose to put on a trophy from Strode’s, from the 1950s, I put in this place of the gavel that was used to put in the first brick of the Strode’s College Library in 1954.

I didn’t really have a least favourite part as I’ve enjoyed my whole experience at Egham Museum, even checking the bug traps wasn’t that bad.

Bailey, work experience 2023

Before coming to the museum, I was expecting to be cleaning and just reorganising the museum but was surprised when we were allowed to choose things to put on display and see all the different aspects that go into keeping the museum running.

Jaiden, Work experience 2023

I expected looking through historical documents the whole time but was pleasantly surprised that there was so much active tasks to do which were fun and intriguing to do and learn about.

Loveleen, Work experience 2023

Please complete our Work Experience and Placement Registration Form and return to Amy Stone on curator@eghammuseum.org to register your interest.
