Vivian Bairstow (Chairman)

Vivian Bairstow (Chairman) was Honorary Treasurer of Egham-by-Runnymede Historical Society (‘EBRHS’) from 1972 to 1991 and was one of the founding Trustees of The Egham Museum Trust (‘TEMT’) from 1979 to 1991, but with additional responsibilities for local conservation for EBRHS and the acquisition of objects by TEMT following several public appeals.  From 2002 to date, he has acted as Chairman of TEMT.

He was brought up in Egham from the age of one and continues to live locally.  He has had a career in Chartered Accountancy specialising in insolvency.  He is a Past Master of the Worshipful Company of Coopers which has strong local associations.  He is the author of 5 local history books.
