Egham and Area Behind and in Front of the Camera

Thursday 16th January – Saturday 13th June 2020

Our first temporary exhibition of 2020, and as part of a series of projects linked to our annual theme ‘2020 Visions’, is ‘Location, Location, Location: Egham and Area Behind and in Front of the Camera’.

The exhibition features information about films and TV programmes that have been shot in our local area, including royal Holloway, University of London, Great Fosters Hotel, and even The White Lion Public House! (Read the full list of everything that’s been filmed, here.)

We also look at the stars who have studied, lived and visited the area over the years.

So come along and find out more about our famous local area and its past and present residents. The exhibition runs from Thursday 16th January until Saturday 13th June (Magna Carta Day) 2020. We are also running an exciting competition for you to get creative, inspired by the exhibition, see full details here.
