The Plague Comes to Egham – Temporary Exhibition
The Plague Comes to Egham: New Temporary Exhibition NOW OPEN
We are pleased announce that our new temporary exhibition is now open. The exhibition is made up of fantastic informative panels on loan from the Guildhall Library, London as part of their ‘Great Plague, 1665’ touring exhibition. Alongside this, we also investigate earlier plague outbreaks in Egham and how they affected the community.
The exhibition will run from Tuesday 28th February until Thursday 11th May at Egham Museum in the Literary Institute, High Street. We are open on Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am – 4.30pm and Saturdays 10.30am – 12.30pm.
Acknowledgements
Many thanks goes to Amy Burgess from the Guildhall Library for helping to organise the exhibition loan; to Charlotte Young who researched, sourced and curated all Egham history information; and to Lara Thorpe for leading on the associated events programme.
