The main entrance to the Museum, house in The Literary Institute, is through this brown door on the High Street. Whether you have pre-booked online, or would like to book the next available slot, please ring the bell to the left of the doors. Upon entering, please make use of the free hand sanitiser. Signage is in place to direct you to the Museum entrance. To minimise use on high contact areas, the internal door to the Museum will be open. Access to the Museum is up 13 stairs. Unfortunately we do not have a lift. When you reach the top of the stair, arrows on the floor will show you the route. Floor arrows. Our friendly volunteers will welcome you to the Museum. We ask you to wear your face covering during your visit, but we also provide disposable masks, hand sanitiser and you are welcome to borrow a face shield. Please explore the Museum by moving clockwise through the space. As you move clockwise through the space, you will travel through Egham’s history, from the prehistoric to post-war.
